what if I told ya you could make your own NUTELLA with just THREE INGREDIENTS, a fraction of the sugar, and entirely vegan?! BECAUSE YOU CAN. recipe below - you’re welcome!
1 1⁄2 cups hazelnuts, raw and unsalted
1⁄2 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1. Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Place hazelnuts in even layer on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes.
2. Remove hazelnuts from oven and let cool slightly, then transfer to a clean kitchen towel. Roll hazelnuts around towel and use your hands to remove as much skin from the hazelnuts as possible.
3. Transfer hazelnuts without skin to a high-speed blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. Takes about 2-5 minutes, the mixture will appear crumbly at first, then will eventually turn into a smooth peanut butter consistency.
4. Melt chocolate chips in microwave for about 30 seconds, then add melted chocolate, vanilla extract, and salt to ground hazelnuts. Pulse until combined, smooth, and creamy.
