French Hot Chocolate ☕️ Recipe for every chocolate lover, if you’ve never tried French hot chocolate or missing Paris you can make this indulgent treat at home! ☕️ For the chocolate: 240g good quality dark chocolate (70% is best) 500ml whole milk (or alternative milk of your choice) 2 tsp icing sugar For the chantilly cream: 250ml whipping cream (or alternative cream of your choice) 2 tsp icing sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1. Break up the chocolate and chop into small pieces. 2. In a saucepan, add milk and icing sugar. Heat on medium-low heat and stir often until small bubbles form around the edge. Be careful to not let the milk boil. 3. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate until melted. Return to heat on the lowest setting if needed - the mixture should be smooth, glossy and thick. Keep on low heat until ready to serve. 4. To make the chantilly cream, whip the cream, sugar until soft peaks form. Optional: pipe into a small pot or glass to serve the cream. 5. Enjoy in your favourite cup and add cream to taste. 6. Leftovers? Pour into an airtight jar and reheat on low heat to enjoy again!
