TEXTURE RELEASE This baby has A LOT of beautiful hair but was struggling to comb it, much less try and shampoo and condition it. Her sweet mother reached out to me in desperation because she wanted her baby girl to be free from the stress of her hair. She told me that her baby was considering quitting sports because she couldn’t handle her hair. Mom would assist her and it would take them 5 hours just to shampoo and braid her hair. 👀 Now, this visit took me almost 6 hours (because she’s tender-headed), and I almost lost her during the blow drying process, but I just kept saying, “don’t leave me; we’re almost there.” Before I flat ironed the first section of her hair, I asked her if she was ready to see the magic happen, and she nodded her head, “yes.” Once I flat ironed her hair and she saw her hair silky straight, she perked up in the chair and got excited. Once I finished that section, all she could do was smile and run her hands through her hair. After every section I finished she would run her fingers through it. It was at that moment that I remembered why God called me to do this 🥲. It’s not always about the money. It’s about the MINISTRY!!!
