Here’s a slow summer challenge for all of us: let’s commit to not buying anything new until we’ve repaired all of our existing clothes and accessories! This can be a financial investment if you’re unable to do it yourself. I’ve seen the bill my rabbit racked up from her rampage through my wardrobe. But that’s my point exactly - we should make a habit of reinvesting in ourselves and the clothes we already have rather than give more of our money to brands that create things to fall apart. It’s surprisingly a novel experience when we’re able to wear something we haven’t touched for a long time because it was too long, too baggy under the arms, got a weird stain on it or ripped. I wouldn’t usually post such an unfiltered video on this app (that’s more of a tiktok thing) but this is what repair looks like. It may not be glamorous but it is so soothing.
