Greetings from London, where I’m on my way to a family gathering - and just found these pictures of me as a baby with my parents, our dog, Simon, and the stalwart Big Ted. It’s rather wonderful to see that a love of dogs, pearls and gardens has been part of my life for so many years - and I’m delighted that Big Ted continues to be enjoyed by my beloved grandson...
