I was pretty excited when we first conceived an all black Velvet Baba. Our first trial pair was made by dyeing the sole and insole ourselves at the El Paso Workshop. The result was pretty spectacular, a huge hit around Sabah HQ. For the final product, we had the soles drum-dyed in Spain, a perfect deep black, a light shine, a great texture. And the black Velvet comes from Italy; also a light shine and a beautiful soft, finish. I’ll be wearing my pair to a few holiday parties this week and next .... suit, socks, Black Velvet Babas, and gin martini in hand 🍸 #howwesabah #wheretonext
