Say “Hey” to Café Coach Sibyl, who was recently promoted to her new role at the Hyde Park Café in Chicago. Sibyl started with @CapitalOne in 2019 as an Ambassador at the Brickell Heights Café in Miami, and immediately demonstrated a natural ability to connect with customers and build strong relationships with her teammates. For her, “knowing your customer” means understanding who they are and what keeps them moving forward every day. From their favorite hobbies, to the neighborhood they live in, Sibyl is constantly on the search to learn more about the people who come into her Café. Growing up, dancing was in her DNA. There was rarely a beat that would play without her feeling the need to bust a move or two. By the time she reached high school, she joined a competitive step team and worked her way up to captain. In the years since, she has flexed her artistic talent by singing in church, learning to play the drums, and helping design unique and creative signs in our Cafés. Being a “creative,” it was common to run with the ideas that popped in her mind and reflect later. But during her years in the Café, she has learned to be more intentional, considering the impact she was making each day through the natural curiosity that comes from many of her conversations. Over the years, she’s also learned how to build impactful leadership skills by both listening to her peers and attempting to inspire them on an individual level. Each person is unique and sometimes all we need is a little inspiration. Returning closer to “business as usual” has allowed Sibyl and her team to continue to bring the unmatched hospitality they show customers to more people in the community. It’s also led to a return to some of the bonding activities that help our Café Ambassadors stay connected with each other. Movie nights, fitness challenges, and lunch by the ocean are just a few of her faves since joining Capital One, and we know her new Chicago family has exciting plans in store to show off Hyde Park and the Windy City.
