Still buzzingggg from a whirlwind of trip to Chicago last week! I had the absolute pleasure of traveling with my fav gals @christyvegaofficial @maddie.eickhoff & @bribrancato to the @beardfoundation awards, which is like the Oscars of the food industry! • Christy was there to receive an award only a select few restaurant owners around our country have been given, The American Classics award 🎉 • @casavegarestaurant, which really is Christy’s second home, is an LA institution of my favorite variety. It’s not a pretentious restaurant that’s meant just for special occasions or only those that can afford it. It’s a place that feels like an impromptu party, a hug & a reprieve for every day and everyone. • Since working with Christy and this team I’ve never felt more creative or excited to do my job! Often I work for brands or with products that are beautiful. But, working with a woman and a historic restaurant that have so much life and heart and a story to tell really has made my job feel totally fresh and to be honest, very easy ❤️ • I have loved finding ways to share the culture of Casa Vega as Christy sees it. She is always drawing from its past but look toward the future💡The word fierce gets thrown around a lot but I mean it when I say this woman IS fierce, the real deal 💪🏻 • Rarely do I post personal pics but the ones from this trip are pretty good...
