Ein flauschiger Hingucker am Ufer heimischer Teiche und Moore. 🥰 Dass das Wollgras früher als Füllung für etwa Kissen genutzt wurde, wird beim Anblick der wuscheligen, silber-weißen Blüten schnell nachvollziehbar. Doch nicht nur das zeichnet das bei uns ansässige „Scheuchzer Wollgras“ aus: In der Volksmedizin wurde das Sauergrasgewächs auch für Darmbeschwerden oder als Kräftigung eingesetzt. Derzeit gibt es 18 verschiedene Arten des Wollgrases, zu finden auf bis zu 2000 m Seehöhe. Unser Fotograf @alexander_mueller_fotografie konnte gleich ein ganzes Woll-Meer festhalten. But that's not the only thing which characterizes the "Scheuchzer cotton grass" that lives here: In folk medicine, the sedge plant was also used for intestinal problems or as a boost. There are currently 18 different types of cotton grass, which can be found at altitudes of up to 2000 m. Our photographer Alexander Müller was able to capture a whole sea of it.
