Costa Rica, March 2018 - ‘you should check your DM’s - you have loads’ - ‘How do I do that?’ - ‘Look there’s one from Assouline asking You to shoot a book on the Turkish Riviera’ - Forward 3 months and I was being picked up from my hotel in Bodrum on a speed boat heading to meet @nebi4 and @aik25a who had commissioned the book. We sped out of the bay passing several boats that I’d have been happy to spend the next 10 days on, eventually pulling up behind the biggest most stylish yacht in the bay where I was met by 2 beautiful glamorous women. - and so it began! - the first leg of a two leg, 20 Day marathon of a project. It was exhilarating - every day we’d shoot a new location and then at night while we slept, the crew would speed us to a different spot on the map, so every morning I woke to a different bay, a different fishing village - it was relentless but incredible - I’m so proud of this book and I’m equally grateful to Nebi and Irem for putting their faith in me to make this project a reality. The Turquoise Coast is literally an incredible place - the people, the food, the vast landscapes and the beautiful sea make it to my family and me, one of the most special places on this earth.
