In 2016 my life changed forever, for the better. My dad got custody of me, and so did his wife. She was this half-naked, Oreo milkshake drinking, weird lady (who I thought was 21 lol) from Las Vegas ( a place I didn’t know existed). I didn’t really know how to feel about her, since all I had ever known was moms leaving me. It took me a while to get close, I’ll be honest, I was scared. Skeptical of wether or not she would stay... but she did. I wish I knew then what I knew now. If your wondering what that is- let me tell you. She is the most caring woman I have ever met. She stepped in would no one else could. She would soon become my shoulder to cry on, my best friend, my laughter, the reason I know how to communicate and not just cry, the reason I can try new things and not be scared... she built my world back up when it was broken in pieces and for that I am eternally grateful. Today, today is her birthday. Mom- I love you more than anything in this life and ever will. Thank you for being everything I ever needed. Thank you for everything.
