It’s now! scroll thru for details, read below for gush ————— there’s nothing quite like a labor of love! so excited to share my mixed media project, Ancient Futures with the queer community at #Outfest this year! Ancient Futures is a celebration of trans life, trans beauty and trans resilience. Inspired by the teachings of our trans ancestors and the actions of trans activists today, ancient futures imagines that within the apocalyptic atmosphere of the present is an ancient map for the future. A future heralded by trans-angels; a future that centers the collective care and embodied creativity that has allowed our communities to live and thrive throughout history. The piece is co-created with an amazing group of artists — Part one: Purgatory is a video art piece and excerpt of SUSPENSION by writer, director, editor and genius, Dulcinee DeGuere. @dulcinee__ (So, so, so many artists put an immense amount of work into this piece!) Part two: Fruit Trees is a photo essay shot by angel flower, @transnormativity with creative direction by me, featuring artists Sydney Mae Diaz @Anxioushum and Halo Rossetti @halo.rossetti Part three: Angels is a sculpture series created by artist queen, Holly Silius @hollysilius and the sculptures feature three unbelievable model/subjects Rain Valdez, @rainvaldez Sydney Mae Diaz @Anxioushum and A. Klass @transnormativity These pieces will be presented alongside Phantom Feel, a sculpture and photo series that I co-created with photographer Kobe Wagstaff @kobewagstaff and Holly Silius.
