Love this quote ❤️ Posted @withregram • @tccineyouthfest Kristian Mercado Figueroa is a Puerto Rican director and writer living in Spanish Harlem, whose short film Nuevo Rico won the SXSW Jury Award 2021. He was recently awarded the Jerome Foundation Grant to make a short film about one of Puerto Rico’s most prominent political figures of the 20th century, Pedro Albizu Campos, a National Hero who sacrificed his life for the independence of his country. The short film will be titled, "They Killed Pedro/Mataron a Pedro." Be sure not to miss it when this gem debuts!
