It was such an honor to attend the @grayson_jockeyclub Belmont Stakes Charity Celebration at the world-renowned Tavern on the Green in New York City. The Jockey Club and Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation benefits the lifesaving research funded by grants from Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. In addition, Dell Hancock, the chairman of the foundation, was the fifth recipient of the Dinny Phipps Award, which honors an individual or individuals who have demonstrated dedication to equine health. For more than eight decades, the foundation's research funding has advanced the well-being of equines in numerous ways, ranging from the first equine influenza vaccine to gene therapy for equine arthritis to cryotherapy treatment protocols for laminitis. Since 1983, the foundation has provided more than $32.1 million to fund 412 proiects at 45 universities in North America and overseas. Today, the foundation is the nation's leading source of private funding for equine medical research, benefiting all breeds of horses.
