Spicy Chicken Parmesan Wings Recipe Cook Time: 30 minutes Prep Time: 20 minutes Serving size: Makes 2 lbs or 14 pieces Essentials: Whirlpool Oven Air Fryer Basket 2 lbs (910 g) chicken wings 1⁄2 tbsp Italian seasoning 3 tsp lemon pepper seasoning 1⁄2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp coarsely ground black pepper 1⁄2 C (120 ml) whole milk 1 large egg, beaten 1 C (100 g) Italian breadcrumbs 1 1⁄2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese 1 C (240 ml) Calabrian Red Sauce (additional recipe) 1⁄4 C (20 g) finely shredded Asiago cheese 1⁄4 C (20 g) finely shredded Parmesan cheese Lemon wedges 2 tsp finely chopped parsley Instructions: Preheat the oven to air fryer setting of 400°F Remove the tips from the wings & set aside. Using a sharp knife, split each wing at the tendon between wing and drum, making 2 separate pieces. Repeat w/remaining wings. Transfer wings to a large bowl & sprinkle with the Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Add 1 tsp of the kosher salt, 2 tsp lemon pepper & 1⁄2 tsp black pepper, & toss to completely coat wings in the seasoning mixture. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk & egg. In another small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs & grated Parmesan with the remaining 1 tsp salt, lemon pepper and 1⁄2 tsp black pepper. Dip each wing piece in the egg mixture, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture. Arrange coated wings evenly in the Whirlpool Oven Air Fryer & cook until the thickest part of the wing reaches 165°F. Serve wings warm with Calabrian Red Sauce, sprinkles of finely shredded Asiago and Parmesan, parsley, & lemon wedges. Pro Tip: For deeper flavor, after tossing wings with seasoning, cover and refrigerate overnight.
