Apologies I haven't been active here since 2020. The power of the mirror is quite powerful, so I took a few steps back from it to weaken its spell. Many things were going on and I needed to go inward and ride the waves of change in relative silence. In 2019 I started the project Initiation, as I was going through a personal moment that felt like a test, a karma exam, or a rite of passage of some sort. Then, the pandemic hit, together with the ongoing climate crisis, overall uncertainty and so on... and it felt WE ALL were going through an Initiation *together*... Now is 2022, and I'm immersed in an on-going project exploring transformation (together with the ups and downs of its process). This project is happening at @galeriaomr. For weeks I've been working and painting in-situ at OMR while reflecting on the first stage of a personal initiatiory process. The first get-together is today (6-9pm at OMR gallery, Mexico City - you are invited! :) and the project will go on for four months. I'll continue to work in-situ weekly, exploring the different phases of a self-induced initiatory process. The artworks will keep changing during the different stages of Initiation and so will the space (and hopefully yours truly). I'll be sharing more information and pics over the coming months but I wanted to say a quick hi today and invite you all to celebrate with us this evening 🤍 If you are in Mexico City, please do come and say hi.
