Tucsonans get so excited about the first snowfall on Mount Lemmon! Why? Because we love our mountain escape from the desert life. . . Just a drive away, you’re met with cooler temps, big trees and hiking trails for days. When it snows, we wait until they clear the roads so we can have a snow day! . . We like to find a place to play along the drive up to the top, then make the rest of the way up to Summerhaven. You can also head over to Ski Valley to use the lift and slope there! . . After playing in the snow, head to Saw Mill Run for a warm meal and their homemade desserts (they cook brownies in a smoker!). Lots also love Cookie Cabin for their famously LARGE cookies. There’s also delicious fudge at the general store that makes great gifts for friends and family. . . Want to stay the night? Check out the accommodations at Mt.
