Today we Welcome Toby, Theresa and their son Abel. Toby was ordained Deacon two weeks ago in St Paul’s Cathedral and will by doing part of his curacy with my husband at St Thomas’. I am excited to see the path they weave coming from two very different parts of the church – let’s say it’s an experiment of sorts - mixologists between the charismatic and the contemplative traditions. But if I have learned anything over theses past years in my incarnation as a vicar’s wife – it is that everyone - ordained or not - has a ministry. Theresa is a wonderful filmmaker – Grace her second name and fitting. Over lunch today it seemed Abel and Bluebell had a special rapport – picking strawberries and digging earth. Mountains can be moved. We are blessed to have this trio bringing their unique and soulful gifts to the parish. #sundayservice #graceofplace #everydaysacred
