Answering my MOST commonly asked questions: What drawing program are you using? What tablet is that? and what are your favorite brushes? I draw in Procreate on my 12” iPad Pro. I opted for the larger size, not only for the extra storage but the iPad Pro allows for more layers in Procreate! YAY! I also have a matte Paperlike screen protector on my iPad. It protects the screen and mimics the surface of paper! So instead of drawing on a slick, glossy screen it feels like I’m drawing in my sketchbook. Here are SOME of my favorite brushes: The Pencil Smooth from @BardotBrush Pencil Box, is a super fine and buttery smooth pencil, perfect for sketching. Next up, Studio Pen found in the Inking pre-loaded Procreate Brushes. I love the tapered end—it feels like a felt tip pen, perfect for filling in shapes. If I want a little more grit and texture in my line work I use the Stutter brush from the Dead Head Brush Pack by @idleletters And you can’t go wrong with the Texture Brush pack from @essillustration. I love all her brushes but the Spray Shader is my consistent go-to brush for adding noisy texture. Part 2: I’ll cover my Wacom Cintiq in the next video!
