I've always been a HUGE fan of the 1948 Tucker Torpedo and took a leap this week to pick up a piece of automotive history. As background, the SEC and Big Three worked haaaaard to put Preston Tucker out of business in part because he sold accessories like this ahead of the Torpedo launch to raise funds and prioritize customer orders. While there were only 50 cars ever built, there were more radios sold, though it doesn't make them common by any means. This beauty will go on my shelf along with #spykerc8 keys, rare Saab parts, and other nerdy things.
