My own Dad grew up in the foster care system in a group home with 100 boys with no family to call his own until he was 21 and married my Mom so, I felt really connected to my character Miranda’s backstory and it was so important for me to do it justice as a showing of respect for my Father and everyone who had lived, or is living in this situation right now. I loved working on this scene and our writer/director Nicky Celozzi really allowed us to make the material our own which made it so much fun to dig into. The cast gave each other so much love and support through this independent creative process and the actors were fully engaged in bringing out the best in each other !
