took us several hours to hike almost 6 miles to our camp site..in the heat 🥵...with all our gear on our backs 🎒... but the views from the mountaintops 🌄 .. and the time spent taking up space in the outdoors with 17 other women of color was beyond worth the difficulty of the hella long, hella hot, hella UPHILL trek! 😅⁣ ⁣ ⁣ we hiked, and kayaked, and ate, and drank, and laughed..and laid out in the sun..and laid perfectly still, *in terror*, in our tents in the middle of the night..so as to not startle the bison that we heard just outside our tent door- that were were SURE could charge us at any moment 🦬😅😰😳 (okay that last part was just me...and i managed to stay calm cuz i just KNEW i was not gonna go out like that! 🤣 but i’m not not traumatized from it 😩) ⁣ ⁣ but really, so grateful i got to have this epic trip with my girl @evemeetswest and @hikeclerb @menjartinez 🥾🐞from having them surf with us one week, to hiking and camping catalina island with them the next, it’s been a summer of epic link ups with like minded, dope ass women! we outside wit it and we making our own ways... together! 🙏🏽 ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #rideordie #catalinaisland #hikeclerb #camping #twoharbors #backpacking #kayaking #optoutside #outdooradventures #diversifytheoutdoors #mountainviews #catalinabison
