The single-channel video, "Aerocene, launches at White Sands" can be seen at the @dejiartmuseum_official in Nanjing. July, 21,2022–Nov 6, 2022 "Aerocene, launches at White Sands" is part of the group show In the Line of Flight, for Possible Worlds, curated by Zhang Ga at the Deji Art Museum in #nanjing, China. The single-channel video documents a 2015 #aerocene human tethered flight that took place in White Sands, New Mexico, 70 years after the first atomic bomb was detonated in the exact same location. In stark contrast to the location's previous history, the Aerocene flight was made without fossil fuels, solar panels, helium or batteries. Using only the power of the sun, 7 people were lifted into the air one by one, for a total "float time" of 2 hours and 15 minutes. The group show, which runs from 21.07 until 06.11.2022, also features works by Alex Da Corte and Jayson Musson, Pierre Huyghe, Lin Ke, Lu Yang, Hito Steyerl, Zhang Peili, and Zhou Xiaohu among others; an #exhibition that "probes [the] essence of #technology , #future, #art" according to Global Times.
