If you joined this industry to become rich or famous I’m here to tell you… that motivation won’t last forever. Our job as performance coaches are to build up others and to help when times get tough and adversity piles up. When my career ended on injury, I felt it was of necessity to push others to greatness and make sure the same things do NOT happen to them. In the end, I’m here to help other believe they ARE enough, believe there is NO mountain they can’t climb and that the best version of yourself was here all along…sometimes I just need to give the nudge so you believe in the same way I do. A notion that always comes back is what mentor said to me… “I do this for you”. So, although the reasons have changed over the years… I always come back to the ability to give to others and have each athlete believe that they must “do what you do… with all your might”. Dark clouds will come… push through always to see brighter days.
