I woke up in Marrakech for the first time on August 14, 2019 — three years ago today. I came to the city hoping to find new inspiration for my photography and writing, but I was not prepared for how deeply it would move my soul. I believe that cities are like people in that way. You can share an inexplicable connection with them after one encounter and that encounter can forever change the course of your life. I often wonder where I'd be now if I had never gone to Morocco. All I know for certain is that I'm glad I did. 🤎
