I must have been 10 years old and was the new girl in GATE class when I first met @mayabrenes. I knew instantly I wanted to be friends with her. We went through our formative years together, and despite my changing schools a few times, we remained friends. We wrote letters and mailed them, often enclosing stickers or photos. We’ve been through ups and downs, years without seeing each other, but I’m so grateful that we’re still friends, and that it’s still the same when we reunite. We did well for two girls from Antioch. 🫶🏼 @mayabrenes I hope we’re friends until we’re old and gray.
