Consuming fermented foods is an easy way to score gut-health benefits, which contributes to your overall health. Apple cider vinegar (aka ACV), in particular, is known to strengthen digestive juices, promote a healthy microbiome— as well as address skin inflammation and fungal issues when used as a topical solution. Use this simple recipe from @cultured.guru for homemade apple cider vinegar that you can add into recipes or use diluted in water as a health booster. Ingredients: + 6 cups of apples, sliced or diced + 1 1/4 cups organic cane sugar + Water to fill jar 90% + 1 tbsp raw ACV with the mother (optional but recommended) Directions: + In a 1-gallon glass jar, add sugar and apples. + Add water to jar until full. (Then, if interested, add raw ACV with mother.) + Stir mixture until sugar dissolves. + Cover with cloth, secure with a rubber band and store in cool dark place for three weeks, stirring mixture once a day for the duration. + After three weeks, strain out fruit, replace cloth lid and allow mixture to ferment for six more weeks. + Once complete, bottle liquid, seal with a solid lid and store at room temperature. . . . #thewell #wellness #health #healthy #lifestyle #selfcare #selflove #fitness #supportlocal #skincare #business #explore #fall #autumn #Acv #applecider #fermentedfood #applecidervinegar
