After 16 years of living in Los Angeles, this place has become so much more than a city, it is my home—it’s where my family is, where I’ve built my life, and where so many beautiful memories have been made. To see this community I love so deeply endure such devastation is surreal and heartbreaking. Homes that held a lifetime of memories are now gone. Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to ashes. It’s a reminder of how fragile life is and how quickly things we hold dear can be taken away. The sense of loss is immense, and my heart is broken for our friends who are grieving the life they once had. In the midst of so much loss, I find hope in the strength of this community and the acts of kindness and decency from those who step up to help, reminding us that even in darkness, humanity’s light shines through. 🙏🏼 I’ve been moved by the strength, resilience, and compassion of this community. To the firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect others—you are the true heroes in this tragedy.
