You came into my life when I was 11 years old. You were by my side throughout all the many phases of my life. Always there to comfort me with your loving presence no matter what. Whether my life decisions were right or wrong, it never mattered to you. All you ever cared for was to love and be loved. The way your tail would wag full of joy whenever you saw me never failed to light up my face with a smile. You made me genuinely happy. 17 years have past since we first met. I had been dreading this day for a very long time. As painful as it is to let you go, I understand that this is a part of life that no one can avoid. You were so much more than a dog to me.
