This weekend marks the end of my term as President of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. It’s been a privilege to lead this incredible organization, and words can’t express how honored I feel to have been selected by my colleagues for this position. My motto for the year was “Embrace the Present, Engage the Past, and Empower the Future.” My key initiative, The Legacy Circle, speaks to Empowering the Future by creating a self-sustaining, consistent source of expanded funding for the Society. I’m blessed to have a career that I love, and the ASDS has been instrumental in my success. The Legacy Circle will help the ASDS ensure the next generation, and all those that follow, have the same opportunities. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the people who supported me over the last 12 months. The ASDS staff, Board of Directors, membership, family, friends and last, but certainly not least, my Aesthetic Solutions staff. Now it is time to pass the torch to an incredible physician, and personal friend, Dr. Vince Bertucci. Vince, enjoy every moment of the next 12 months. Trust me – it flies by!
