First sighting in Savuti, one of the most remote and wild corners of the world... ✨ From the moment I arrived in Botswana, I could feel in my bones that something special was about to happen. Our tiny plane landed on an airstrip in the middle of nowhere and our guide ushered us and our belongings onto a jeep. As we hurtled through the bush toward the safari lodge, we spotted him: a lion crouched in the shadows, his eyes glowing amber in the last of the day's light. He was magnificent. In fact, he seemed somehow immortal. I wish I could bottle that sense of wonder I had right then and there, and drink from it forever.
