There’s no such thing as a cure-all stretch, but this recommendation from one of our former Visiting Masters, Lia Bartha (@liabartha), comes pretty close. Give this simple pose a try when you are looking to relieve tension in your chest, shoulders and neck— or when you need to wind down after a stressful day. Start by placing a ball or high pillow beneath your upper back. Spread your arms into a T shape and allow your knees to gently fall open, pressing the bottoms of your feet together. Move your head side-to-side (as if gently shaking your head no) and breathe deeply. Incorporate this stretch into your daily evening routine this week and let us know how you feel!
