I am a child of immigrant parents. I am the product of what happens when two people leave everything they know in seek of a better life for their family... There is not a single moment where I have forgotten all of the sacrifices my parents have made to give me the life that I get to live today. The life that I get to share with you all is only a SMALL example of how drastically your life can change being in immigrant in this country... and this the main reason why people like my parents do whatever it takes to live in our country. The bottom line is people deserve to be treated with basic human rights and CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE PUT IN HANDCUFFS, they should not be separated from their families, and PEOPLE should not be thrown in cages for days without food or water. The way that people are being treated is absolutely disgusting. Being an Asian American, I have been given the freedom to dream simply because of the sacrifices my parents made and the hard ships they faced. I would choose every life time to be their daughter again bc I know there is no greater love, than the love of an immigrant parent. Before you decide to judge someone over their legal status or not.. I highly encourage you to see that these are people who are acting on survival. People deserve to live in hope instead of fear. I have made it abundantly clear on who I am and what I stand for. I hope if there is anything you have learned or taken from my content, it is treating people with kindness and compassion.
