I’MA LET YOU FINISH... So, I saw this tweet and couldn’t help but repost it. Brace yourselves for a light essay... I’m so proud of the journey we started in 2017 with our little pilot and more so of the talent that it’s given a platform to. In interviews I’ve always said our crew was the comedy version of the @wutangclan and that analogy still holds true - individual superstars who united to do something special and then went on to have amazing individual careers. The image in this post marks a graduation of sorts because the long tentacles of FAMALAM and the talent at it’s core have fully reached into TV, film, theatre (and even music). It’s not a time for either humility or hubris, but rather an opportunity to give thanks because it’s evidence a small idea can blossom into an actual thing - through hard work and the Almighty. Two @bafta awards, an RTS @royaltelevisionsociety award, a @rosedorawards and countless nominations can’t be a bad thing, right? 🏆🏆🏆 In 2022, there are so many brilliant and amazing creators from the culture (too many to name) doing brilliant things which our forerunners would never have dreamed possible and long may it continue!!!!!
