Kicking off @shadesweshare and Women’s History month with a love note surrounding friendship 🤎 My person. Best friend. Sisterhood - all formal terms of love and endearment. People often forget friendship is a version of romance. You pour into me, and I pour into you. You care for me, and I care for you. I do love the saying “treat yourself like your best friend.” Because we would tie up our hair and go to battle for our sisters, just let one teardrop fall from their face. I often wonder sometimes who I would be without this form of love. What would life be like if our paths never crossed? Would bourbon gingers still be my favorite drink of choice? Would I still love live music shows and dancing with no cares? Would I have told that person “don’t forget to pick up your feelings.” not knowing I had solid support behind me? Would I still cry the same had I not known there was someone like you to comfort me? How many stomach-aching laughs would I have missed, not knowing there was someone out there who understood my weirdness and wit? Too many spiraling what-ifs to think about.
