// A few weeks ago; Greg, Sean & Alvin set off to set a new FKT on a ride from LA to Las Vegas - this was a new route for them, but the guys separately & together have ridden to Vegas for Interbike (rip) 8 times (3,3,2 respectively) over a two day tour in years past. This round however was all in one go; 347 miles to Vegas. It took 19.5 hours of saddle time, & in 25 hours overall they made it. Here’s some thoughts from our riders now that the dust has settled.
“10 years have passed since our first LA to LV ride, just long enough to forget that I said I’d never do it again. Traditionally a two day odyssey through the desert, we decided that this time we’d up the ante & attempt the effort in one long push. I reached my limit on this one, I wanted to quit. But there’s something magical about dawn in the desert, that first kiss of sunlight & warmth that really breathed life back into my legs. This is what Cncpt Team means to me, breaking boundaries & pushing past your limits. I knew we would finish & it wouldn’t have been possible without my teammates & support.” - Greg Garth
“After finishing @badlandscc the week before this trip, the last thing I wanted to do (but also wanted to) was ride through the desert to Vegas; but we finish what we start & our plan + support team was locked in, & all I had to do was pedal with my best friends, while being supported by our best friends; easy money. This 24 hour ride is who we are at heart; a group guys who met because of the bike years ago & now are all on the same team, who just wanna look good, ride sick bikes, have the most fun & go further/ faster every year. This ride will stay with me forever or at least until we do something just as epic with the squad“ - Sean Martin
