From the moment I met Kai 10 years ago at the CIA, I wanted to be her friend. Cool, calm, self assured and kind. We shared a dorm room for two years and built a friendship over going out to eat in New York and dreaming up how we would want to run our own kitchen if we had the chance. Even though we lived on separate continents, I always hoped that we would work together one day, and here we are! We have been planning and preparing for @maventoronto for 3 years. So grateful that we are finally running the restaurant we always talked about together. Thank you for everything @itskaikaikaikai. Couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else.
