My dad would have been 78 today. I’ve thought about him a lot these last few days. If he were still here I would have called him countless times to talk through a boat or house project or just to get his advice, he would’ve really loved his new grandson Max, and I know he’d have debated with his friends a thousand times about politics. He was always such an encourager, every conversation would start with “how can I make your day better?” and end with “I love you, love you, love you.” He was definitely a light in this world. Something we should all strive to be.
