My idea, when I started the business, was to use fashion and technology as vehicles to showcase the glory and triumph of the inventors, champions and innovators within our enriched community. Through the brand, I also wanted to start the dialogue of dismantling perceptions and bridging the cultural gaps with communities outside of the African diaspora.⁠ ⁠ What does community mean to you?⁠ The community we have around Stories We Cherish is unmatched. It’s the support system I never knew I needed. ⁠ ⁠ What’s your ultimate goal? ⁠ My desire is to grow a brand that’s driven not only by impact, but by love. Through showcasing unknown African artists and designers, it is our goal to create a platform from which the talented can demonstrate their creative value to the world.
