yesterday I got to preview my 17 min film to a small group of curators & friends. Though this is not “the show” of this piece, & I do look forward to installing it where it can play to the public, it was really moving to get to finally see it on a big screen & invite some generous souls into such an intimate piece of work. The bestest baddie @katebryan_art was there for a Q&A & as usual there was no BS with her, just straight up depth & heart- right to the nucleus of the thing. My brother who produced it was there to hold my hand & make sure it went smoothly (as he has done with many other things!)
