Especially in healthcare settings where many LGBTQ+ people don’t feel safe. 🌈 It’s also simple, easy and something everyone can do! A rainbow flag can help make a queer or trans client feel more comfortable and can open up the space for you to earn their trust. ❤️ That trust is important because many queer and trans people face discrimination when accessing care. This makes it even more necessary that we back up our good intentions with action, and ensure that we know how to provide inclusive care to our LGBTQ+ patients. 🩺 This includes listening to LGBTQ+ people, believing LGBTQ+ people and continually doing the work of examining our own biases, power and privileges.
