This entire experience has been nothing short of breathtaking. While primarily having a background in sports production, journalism as a whole was an adjustment period for me, but it was something I wanted to try and grow to understand. I learned so much from my peers and professors. I was a little discouraged going to Arizona without having my own story, but then stumbling upon one while there that I was able to personally connect with, sparked my passion to want to share these peoples story. I’m so glad I got to experience this with such an amazing, talented and successful group of people. We all worked really hard and in the end won A College Television Award for News as well as the Seymour Bricker Humanitarian Award!! -Success starts with every challenge, not from the comfort zone.
