Life costs more when you’re disabled. So the #CostOfLiving crisis hits even harder. Disabled people are facing impossible choices every day. Choosing between heating and eating is just one of them. But how do you choose between two vital parts of your health, and why should anyone have to? A new report from Resolution Foundation shows that: ➡️ disabled people are almost 3 times as likely to live in material deprivation ➡️ almost half of disabled adults are cutting back on energy usage this winter ➡️ a third are cutting back on food. The government is set to provide more financial support for disabled households. But these are just sticking plasters. For many, these payments won’t be enough. And they won’t come soon enough. So as 2023 begins, we’ll continue challenging the government to do more. We’ll keep doing everything we can to bring about long-term solutions that protect disabled households. Who’s with us? 🙋
