Whether or not we like to admit it, media is a lens through which we view and shape the community and culture around us. In Punjabi films, how often do you see domestic violence abuse normalized and mainstreamed? We invite you to read through the slides to understand the intertwining relationship between Punjabi films and domestic violence. As the audience, we must challenge the minimizing of violence against women and stop promoting such discrimination based on gender, on color, on body type.
