South African designer Tsakani Mashaba introduces us to her polysemic and imaginative world view with her latest bag collection and campaign entitled ‘BURKINA’ for her brand Hamethop (@hamethop).Tapping into author Neil Degrasse Tyson’s encyclopedic viewpoint of thinking, the brand explores multiple disciplines such as architecture, design, and contemporary visual art that challenges the conventional notions of fashion in order to not only deliver luxury products.

‘For this collection, we aimed to explore beyond the perceived limits of African architecture and design. Guided by purposeful research, the interaction between humans, environments and spirit became prevailing themes’ says the designer.
