STORYTIME! 10 months ago we found a house, we liked the house, We even did an episode of HGTV House Hunters to find it! 🏠 However, we knew it was probably not going to be our ‘Forever Home.’ In my heart I always wanted forever to be in this specific neighborhood in Baton Rouge. It’s the neighborhood where I grew up. 😊 Family is so important and when it comes to extended family, my parents are getting up in age. Don’t get me wrong, they are vibrant and energetic and they work every day, by choice. Still, I know the day will come when I will need to help them, as they’ve helped me my entire life. I want to be near my parents.🙂 In the beginning of August, my mother’s long time neighbor and friend came to her and told her she needed to sell her house, it was just too much house for one person and she had recently lost her husband. 💔 My mom called me and told me the house I had always walked past, where I stopped by to trick or treat, a house I always liked since I was a little girl was for sale! A house like this does not come on the market often, at least not in this neighborhood, so we jumped on it! 🏃🏿🏃🏿‍♀️💨 We have found our #FOREVERHOME 🙌🏾 We have space to stretch & grow & laugh & live & love... 🥲 We are now walking distance to my parent’s house, Charles has the basketball goal he’s always wanted and we have a lot of projects to do! This house was built in 1988...
