Our refreshed side hallway (swipe for before pics)! The beautiful star wallpaper came from London, it is by @jessicaosbornelondon and the color is called Dawn. I really like the design because I love stars ⭐️ Oftentimes wallpaper with the star design looks too outdated or too boring for me. This design has beautiful modern looking design and somehow still feels appropriate for an old house like ours. The design also visually “expands” narrow hallway and that was one of the main reasons I wanted to use wallpaper with such pattern. Color of the field is not yellow, it is golden with some notes of pink/reds (I believe) which is very unique and beautiful color. The trim and wainscoting is painted in Pointing by @farrowandball (this off-white is slightly creamy). I wasn’t sure it would work out but pretty happy with the result. Painted woodwork is not something I would choose normally but it was already painted with some reddish brown high gloss color perhaps long ago, in like 90s or 80s and wood had a lot of dents, deep scratches and holes all over it. So, I decided that painting it is the best. I sourced fixtures @shadesoflight and we ordered 2 different sizes of the same exact design. Floor tiles are traditional Victorian tiles made in England.
