Recent developments in life pushed me to quit my job of 4 years. I found myself genuinely invested in the success of people who just saw me as a doormat. I had a hard time leaving because my boss was the most incredible mentor to me, but the grace he gave me when I made my decision reminded me that as much as I give to other people; I need to remember that it's okay to put myself first. I've decided to take the summer off to go on one of those "spiritual journeys" where I walk around barefoot, listen to birds and soak up the sun.
