“I'll always love my mama She's my favorite girl I'll always love my mama She brought me in this world” These women have all been a blessing to me as a prime example of what it means to be a mother. They are strong, courageous, independent, fierce, nurturing, and loving. They can greet you with a warm embrace and turn around and give you the hardest piece of truth you don’t wanna hear, but desperately need to. I’m not sure what it is about this year, but I’m finding an even stronger connection to what it means to be a mother. It is a role that is transformative and comes with many definitions and responsibilities and each inhabits it in their own way. For some this is a day of joy and celebration, for others it’s one that can bring pain and anger, and for some indifference. No matter what, just know that you are loved and that you are what love looks like to someone. 💕 Happy Mother’s Day
