Blessed to share my second single - ‘Remember Begum Rokheya’ . It’s a song that is meant to draw attention to Begum Rokheya Sakhawat Hossain, a bengali feminist writer who penned some incredible books over a 100 years ago. She was also an educator and political activist who fought for women’s rights. One of the things I was trying to do, while researching indofuturist ideas, was highlighting the work that has come before us. And I believe Begum Rokheya is one such voice, that deserves A LOT more recognition. So here you go.
